cracking christmas

For all those in Key Stage 2 (years 3 to 6) there is a Christmas Party at the Bradley Stoke Community School on Sunday 10th December (4.00pm - 6.00pm).  It's being sponsored by the 5 Stokes and Patchway Churches and the local Town Council.

There will be time to have fun together - whether you're 'sporty' , or like having a go at crafts - there will be something for you.  There will be a Christmas message (a bit like the assemblies you have in school taken by the local ministers) and there will be a buffet Christmas tea.

A number of local schools have been provided so don't miss out!  For more information enquire a the church or at your local school.

This Christmas bring the whole family along to enjoy The Christmas Story performed in the stables of Noah's Ark Zoo Farm in Wraxhall near Bristol.

an alternative christmas

Bored of baubles and glittery paper?  Don't know what to get the person that has everything!

Would you like to buy someone a Christmas present that would really make a different?  Recently the Tuesday homegroup completed a study on poverty, which included thinking of ways the Church and individuals could help.  As an easy practical thing to do, why not consider buying someone an alternative Christmas present that would aid those less fortunate.  The charities listed below host 'alternative' Christmas lists.  You buy something practical for use in a developing country and a gift card is sent to the person the present is for.

shoeboxes

Many charities run appeals where you can 'fill a shoebox' with gifts for children who would otherwise go without any present at Christmas time.  If you'd like to do this there is information (and shoeboxes!) in the foyer at church.  Corrette is co-ordinating this so speak to her for more information.
